Commercial Applications

In 2001, Watson Technical Consulting created a new company, Kinetic Analysis Corporation (KAC), to develop, manage and support commercial applications based on technology created by WTC.  Based in Maryland, Kinetic Analysis Corporation specializes in estimating the impact of natural and man-made hazards on the built environment and the economy for clients in engineering, land development, and risk management. Examples include:

KAC provides a wide range of services to a diverse set of domestic and international clients in government, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector. KAC clients include the State of Florida Division of Emergency Management and the Florida Commission on Hurricane Loss Prediction, Caribbean island states, international agencies such as the Organization of American States and the Caribbean Development Bank, news organizations and humanitarian aid agencies.

Specialized Applications

While the responsibility for most applications have been transferred to KAC, WTC continues to provide services in a few specialized areas:

Photography and other projects

Watson Technical Consulting is more than a strictly technical organization.  WTC has an artistic side as well. Visit our Photo Gallery, currently featuring an exhibition entitled "Elemental Photography".  In addition, we also run a weblog featuring commentary on current events, especially disasters, global hot spots, space and foreign policy.
